Current Thespians
A student who has completed a minimum of 10 points (approximately 100 hours) of work in drama is eligible for basic Thespian membership. Stars are added to the student's membership certificate after each additional 10 points of work.
Students who have compiled 60 points or more are awarded Honor Thespian status.
National Honor Thespian status is awarded after 120 points.
International Honor Thespians have accumulated more than 180 points of participation in and service to the theatre department.
A varsity letter can be earned in one of two ways:
- participate at the 5 or 8 point level in three Velvet Curtain productions.
- participate in at least one show per year throughout a four-year high school career.
This award can be received multiple times throughout a student’s high school career and is independent from the Thespian award levels listed above.

State Chapter Board
Each year, our Troupe is allowed to nominate one Thespian to run for state office. The interview and selection process happens at the State Thespian Festival and the selected student board members serve throughout the next year planning state-wide events and coordinating the following year's festival.
